This dish is a sweet pudding of ground pine seeds topped by a vanilla cream and
decorated with grated nuts. The name "zgougou" actually refers to these
black seeds from the pine tree. "Assida" roughly translates into
pudding. This dish is found only in Tunisia. It is usually made on
Mawlid Nabawi (or the Mouled, Prophet Mohammed's birthday).
